Curiosities:
• The name comes from an artwork by Charles Bourgogne, a French artist and former IBM engineer, who created clown figures representing different professions using old computer components (keyboards, electronic circuits, and collages on plexiglass).
• When Cantina Giardino contacted him, he asked for wine corks to craft his first “Clown Oenologue”.
• Bourgogne personally delivered six artworks to the producers, who chose the Clown Oenologue, which then became the name of the wine.
• The name has often been misunderstood, with some thinking it mocks oenologists. In reality, Cantina Giardino has always followed a non-traditional winemaking approach, sparking discussions and interest from the very beginning.
